The Music Composer
At Doordarshan Kendra Kolkata he joined as an independent composer in 1975. Several artists had the opportunity to sing on his compositions. In Mumbai he joined the reputed Indian Films Division as a music director, where he composed background music for more than 600 documentary films, animation and short film. The city of Mumbai gave the honour to work with Md. Rafi, Anup Jalota, Anuradha Paudwal, Suresh Wadkar, Nitin Mukesh
Technology enthusiast, he calls himself. Inspiration to create he draws from nature. In tune with times he creates effects without using any acoustic instruments having mastered the skill to use computer Software. Enthusiasm is his drive to unique and original compositions. Blessings arrived in abundance. In 2003 he composed the theme music for the Asian Car Rally.
“Robi O Radha” , the project, is a combination of film and stage shows based on Tagore’s Bhanusinger Padabali. Few lyrics of Tagore were without a tune, Ramanuj ventured to create it in 2002. Pandit Jasraj ji ,Smt Kavita Krishnamurti were among the many well known singers associated with this project.
